Last day in the office!

Today was my last day of being an office bound desk jockey!  :D No more boring office politics, strategy meetings or paperclip counting sessions!
I am now back on the mean streets of Hampshire in a marked BMW 330 ready to hopefully strike fear into the criminal fraternity! :clap: :clap: :clap:
The only problem is that over the last 18 months, my uniform appears to have shrunk! :police:

No probs on that one, all good for public relations, although I have to sensible now as I will be the most senior person on my shift, not like the old days when a mate and I were on foot patrol and we decided to try to embarrass my wife by waiting until she went shopping and suddenly walking up behind her, and announcing loudly that we had caught a major shoplifter.
She was not amused and grabbed me by a 'certain area'. Good when at home, but not when you are in public.

In a strange perverse way, I'm looking forward to getting back out there. I did patrol work for over 14 years before flying a desk, and I missed it. The buzz of catching some little scrote in the act is great.
It is fair to say there are some cruddy bits, especially when the little gits walk away when you know they are as guilty as a puppy next to a pile of poop, but they'll come again.
Time for some common sense policing!
