Why can't we tell you :?:  ... or why don't they light up :?:

Can't say I've noticed them light up, but then a whole lot of stuff doesn't work on mine so I'm used to it

Are they in your line of sight whilst driving?

Centre console then? I can only assume one of two things
1) possible risk of driver distraction
2) It's cheaper that way

Have you checked a wiring diagram to see if there is a spur for the dash lights down in the vacinity, auto box selectors are usually illuminated, that said electric window switches aren't.

Not on a 200 Series Discovery... the switches don't have lights.

I've got a feeling the Series 2 Disco does.
