'Land Rover Gear Shop' Sale
« on: February 13, 2005, 00:33:10 »
We went to the 'XScape' complex at Castleford this afternoon.
'Other Side Of The Fence'
Well, the youngster's now got her arm in a pot, so needed entertaining, so she could watch everyone falling over in the snow

There is a 'LR Gear Shop' in the building (I knew about it before), so in I went for a look around.
SWMBO followed me in after laughing at someone falling off the 'IceWall'

After a few minutes I ended up coming away almost a £120.00 lighter

I've bought one of the rather smart 'Snow Jackets' (as they call it) for £85.00!!
Admittedly not in the silver/grey of the picture, but red.
Still a good saving, I'd not intended buying one, but the 'G4' coats weren't in the sale & I'd given my 'Sympatex' to the father-in-law.
Oh & a nice t-shirt

Youngster got one of the Teddy Bears that comes with a rucksack & sleeping bag.

Then proceeded to pay exorbitant amounts for burgers in a restaurant called 'Tootsies'

If you're nearby 'Xscape' might be worth a visit

Unfortunatley won't be visiting that area this season as the Tigers got relegated last time out so I've have no excuse in saying "well I was out that way anyway"

I picked up my LR G4 jacket from LR gear sale at xscape MK last summer. Twaz a snip at £60. The guy in the shop made me laugh tho, he said "don't use the poppers, they fall off"...I thought, that sounds like a Land Rover made product  :D

I took it back this morning, as I'm not too keen on the underarm vents having looked at it properly.

I told the young lass that I wanted it for hill-walking   in the Lake District next month & I didn't fancy having the rain entering under my arms.

No qualms, no quibbles, just recredited the Switch.

Will go have a look at Mitchells, they're having a sale & who knows I might get a Berghaus for that  price?

Can you see XScape from the M62?
I think I know the one you meant. I reamer seeing a big purple sign off to one side of the motorway on my way to barton-upon-humber.

Hi BTM & Andy, tis Daz of the DOC here,re: the coat, why don't you have a look at Regatta in the Castleford outlet, I have it on good authority that regatta & berghaus use the same cloth, only difference is the price...
I got one from there a couple of years back £20 for the coat £20 for the fleece that zips in, not bad for a £100 combo!!!
