First there was the MOT, which wasnt TOO bad.....
Then there was the coolant senser packed up........
On fitting that, the timing chain sounded rough to thought I would tension it.
After doing that, the car moved backwards slightly and there was a funny noise. On turning the key, everything locked up.
Ok, so something isnt right, stripped down front of engine and found crank pully stop pin with a big gouge in it, Ah Ha, chain must have jammed against it.
Fitted new tensioner shoe and chain guide, and retimed it all up!
Popped and farted through the carb on start up!
Retimed it in several other positions, every time popping through the carb.
Borrowed my mates compression tester, OH DEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the pistons softly kissed the valves, lovely!!
Guess what I am doing next week?? Lol!!
Oh well, all good fun!
TBH, the cost isn't that much even though the parts are from Russia (via Cumbria!!)
It's just the inconvenience of it all though!!
