Cor.

My old Zuki used to (probably still does) run on Mud Pluggers.  Good Welsh tyre there for you.

'Mud Pluggas', or rather the original Firestone SAT, were the tyre of choice until companies like BFG really pushed into the market.

It's a cross-ply in original form & thus restricted to75mph (sufficient for a Series -non- V8'd)

Still a good tyre, but which way do you mount the spare on the rim??? (directional)
Don't last too long either, perhaps 10-15,000miles?

I've seen a set of 'Pluggas'/SAT's on a Discovery & they look 'the biz' (as they do on a 90 or 110)

Dumpers are illegal on the road, I think. Speed & load ratings???

Don't think so - the PCD looks a bit smaller than D1 wheels, shall be finding out soon enough tho
Just need to sort a spare out next

Would imagine the offset would be totally different too - I spotted a set of those alloys on an ML earlier and the rim is a lot closer to the outer of the wheel than the LR rims from what I could see.

I've got some super mud pluggers on mine at the moment and they seem fine, plenty of grip in the sticky stuff.

Road noise is not as bad as the old Xtra Grips I had on before, which sounded like a WW2 bomber at about 40mph!

Chris,

Youmight be able to get some adapters made up.  Andy @ Allisport can get them done for you, so provided the wheels will go over the discs / calipers, you can probably get it to work.
