200TDI PAS pump tensioning
« on: June 05, 2008, 13:22:13 »
Hi chaps,

My pump is giving the squeel at full lock to lock and although not detremental very annoying!
I belive its the belt that needs tightening ( although I might bleed it to check for air).
ANybody got any pictures or a how to tension it up?

i dont have pics, but its simple.
you need to loosen the PAS pully on the right (as you look at it) and then lever using a crowbar until it is tighter then before (!) then do the bolts back up, (easier with two, one tensioning the other tighteing up the bolts) then check to see how tight it is. it should turn half a turn if you pinch the belt.
