fit a arb
the " fit and forgets " are aload of french words
the arbs are way better offroad, it keeps your normal offroad style there, then when you need it, you axle is locked, then when not needed its unlocked
not perminantly locked like the detroit, which is a royal PITA some times, ok
all the time

pipes snagging......thats a load of dog droppings, not had any issues in over 2 years

you cannot fit a detroit locker in the front axle
only a limited slip diff

i reeally would save your pennys abit and just fit a rear arb
you dont need a front one, they aint needed really, the rears are more useful than fronts

ive got twin arbs
rear is more helpfull than the front
besides, its more helpful pushing than pulling
front lockers are brilliant at keeping you in a straight line when coming down a slippery hill
or when winching
apart from that, mines hardly used

Auto lockers, load of bobbins. They make your truck drive like a pig on road, and believe me, a copper following an autolocker equiped vehicle WOULD have reason to pull you.

Get an ARB, hell, get two, you will never look back. They work, have a diff in 'normal mode' so you will NEVER notice any difference on the road, and are the dogs bits off road.

As for getting pipes snagged, oh yeah, you could. If you are a dummy and mount em where they can get snagged, but then, so could brake pipes and that would be a bigger problem............

I used em for a couple of years, no faults at all, loved em. Before that I had a lockright auto locker for about 6 months. It broke, they gave me another, I ebayed it. Garbage.

Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

trust me, its worth it
people cant justify spending that little bit more, but if your going through the trouble to get a locker/lockers then do it the once, and do it right  ;)

why not get an electric locker from KAM diffs? you get HD shafts with it as well, a minor bit of cut and shut to do but nothing major.

totally agree with the above on arb's, i run twin arb's always wack in the rear first (electrics wont allow me otherwise) and give it ago and never a problem. lost count of the number of times i've used the rear but the fronts i can tell you each time i have, 3 times in about a year, plus you dont really want anything in the front as your asking for something to break. We all know its a time consuming job to strip the front end compared to the rear. I've just blown a front shaft forgot locker was in when turning a tight turn and blow shaft. now thinking of removing front completely and having a normal diff in there (none locking) and putting it in my other landy.

plus on a very boy racer note, nothing like stopping at the lights with a boy racer next to you and wacking the locker in and letting it off and getting the PITCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, there faces, priceless.

i've got truetracs front and rear in mine and found them very good, and they dont affect the road handling at all really (certainly dont make it any worse)

nice middle ground i guess
