bloody land rovers
« on: June 08, 2008, 11:44:38 »
Drove back from Plymouth to college last night, and just as i got onto the A38 noticed the back window was getting progressively dirty. pulled up at college and had a look at the back, and the whole of the back was covered in a layer of oil. looked underneath and it was pouring out, at first it appeared to be coming from the front diff, then looked under the bonnet and found out that it was actually coming from the oil filter. oh what joy.
luckily a mate at college who was with me  is a mechanic, and another mate is bringing in a oil filter off his dead defender and a [!Expletive Deleted!] load of oil. so hopefully that should sort it out.
quite lucky really, as when we pulled up it was still leaking, but then stopped and there appears to be no more oil left lol.
