Bought disco from a used car dealer about 2 weeks ago now, ran really awful got max. 60 mph on way home from garage but was not to worried. Spent 10 days cleaning tuning servicing changing intercooler pipes cleaning intercooler tappets etc etc. bought dog guard load cover removed bolt on switches for dash put original landrover ones in ther places blah, blah, blah. Began to run really well, 90 down hill following wife. bit sluggish from cold but hey its no race car.
It was a bit tappy from the engine which i assumed was tappets, no it was the vacuum pump (I think) got really noisy intermittently so took it back to dealer for so called warranty to get fixed, but was told friday cant touch it till mid next week....................
It is killing me not having it to drive, look at, getting really hacked off. hope it is only vacuum pump and feeling that if they cant fix it by monday lunch time im gonna have mega strop collect cra oreder part and do it myself, but why should I.
