Correct me if I'm wrong but don't motorsport rules forbid any form of rear-wheel steering, like fiddle brakes or say 4-wheel steering?

otherwise we'd all be doing it, fiddle brakes cost a fraction of the cost or ARBs

Fiddle brakes are permitted in certain classes...  even so, I don't reckon 4 wheel fiddle brakes aren't a match for lockers anyway as far as traction goes.
