DISCO FUEL PROBLEM ONGOING
« on: June 14, 2008, 00:05:25 »
After having a new timing belt and and all the bits fitted.I am having a problem when I start up.The car seems to have a flat spot.IE will not respond to the accelerator. It ticks over at 1100 RPM for about a minute then the revs drop to 800 and away we go.Sometimes  a great deal of smoke is emitted but not always.I have had it up at Paul At kinsons on his analyser it cleared a few faults but he could not fathom this one out. has any body got any ideas.Incidentaly  Paul cleaned loads of connections.Reckons it may be a bent valve .The motor runs well apart from the initial hesitation and is quite nippy. :( :(

The belt and bits were fitted at a local workshop.

I have asked about having the sediment bowl cleaned and several garges have declined the work. Is it major work or can I crawl underneath and do it my self.
