Swapping the sides for SeriesIII panels seem too much like hard work though. So I obtained a pair of Land Rover Special Vehicles blanking panels to replace the sliding windows with. These LRSV panels are alloy sheet inside a frame which rivet in place as a direct replacement for the sliding window and original frame. So just a matter of drilling out the 24 rivets and removing windows, putting on a new seal bead and re-rivet in the new frame/panel.
Not made up mind if it too odd looking or not - will see how I live with it. They are sprayed the colour the rest of truck should look if it was clean and polished

so a I need to get them dirty to blend in. Still need 3 piece security grills for the rear.
