as my 300 TDI is a jap import, i noticed it has a cat warning light on the dash.
does that mean that the sender unit in the exhaust is linked to the ECU?.
if so will it end up [!Expletive Deleted!] up the fueling?.
OR
is it just a warning light on the dash?
OR
shall i cut it out and weld it into the new exhaust?.
any ideas you have out there would come in handy.
who sells the de cat pipe as i notice craddocks dont do exhausts for imports (going by their web site)
many thanks

Howdy,
The warnin lite on the dash is to tell you it is too hot. It isn't linked to the ECU. Ditch it but you will need to 'earth' the wire to keep the lite out. :cheesy:

I've also got a Jap import with the "Cat Light". I've checked and checked and checked are there are no wires attached to the pipe???

I've got my new Defender 300TDi front pipe to de-cat mine. It looks like a PITA to remove and replace, even though it's only got five blts. Anyone done it yet and got any tips?
