Creaking rock/tree sliders
« on: June 23, 2008, 10:18:06 »
managed to get 1 rock/tree slider fitted over the weekend, but after run along motor way this morning (30 miles) it now creaks.  It all appears to be secure and has been fitted to sill and out riggers.

Any ideas, the hassle i have had with these i just want to rip them off and refit plastic ones, after throwing all my toys out the pram...................

If you have any silicone sealant, plaster the inside of the slider in then, this will also act as a water barrier.

try to get some wax-oyl between the brackets and the sills, it should help the creaking and stop your sills rotting.

Do they bolt right thru the sills?
I guess they were a bit of a drama to fit.............

Yes they fit straight thru sills, and bolt to out riggers, few issues regarding quality spent couple of hours re-working them that is why wish had not bothered, look good but just want to get rid of creak now.  Then i will be happy.  Did complain to member i bought from and gave about 20% refund, but still a B**ch to fit.

Hope waxoyl will work.
