Recently bought a series 3 lwb and starting to get her ready for MOT. I have noticed a shuddering in the rear when i move off in 1st gear but once i get up to speed and change to second she is fine does anybody know what the problem might be

Check the propshaft UJs and running gear mounts. Depending on how long you slip the clutch in 1st, it may be the clutch also juddering.

Had this once on a Series 3.Hand brake was snatching.Backed it of a couple of clicks and all was well.

Found out that it was a missing bush on one of the rear leaf springs. Been replaced now and everythnihg is fine. Thank you both for your advice. :lol:
