Hi I was talking to this other truck driver today when we was waiting to collect our load from felixstowe docks and we both said if everyone who drives for a living took 4 days off on stike like the shell tanker drivers done then this country will come to a stand still and we should not give in until this goverment see how the other half of peole lives on the crap wages and the high cost of fuel and road tax

It needs the employers on board, if they took all trucks of the road for one day that should make the government take notice, the threat of longer strikes after that should be enough to make the government take action

Just out of interest where do non professional drivers fit in this idea. Cos trucker's pass on the costs to thier customers. Private users don't have that luxury. If you see my point. Also if the gov loose revenue from fuel does anyone really believe that the short fall wont be made up on something else.
