Ok, this is naughty but.

Do you think that 9.4 million people affected by the tax hike will now read the papers in a bit more detail before they lecture us about 4x4 ownership and our carbon footprint?

Both my wife and mother in law who are inelligent people were talking about a "the tax on 4x4's" and look how the media who love to lap up the green agenda are now saying, "ooo loook at the poor family in the 5 year old espace!."

So next time they see a bandwagon they may pay more attention to the direction its heading in.

PS Tax exempt series 3 really winds them up!

Woman at wwork was laughing at me and my large tax hike for owning a gas guzzling 4x4. I tried not to laugh too much when she found out that her 2003 Mondeo will get a large tax hike and my 2000 D2 gets a little hike but nothing like hers :afro:

Same here.
One of the Charge Nurses had a 'bit of a dig' over the VED increases for '4x4s', but now I think he's a bit miffed that the boot is on the other foot for his Laguna, as my 110 is a 1999 model
