It does seem to be a touch volatile, doesn't it? We seem to have an interestin' balance of both the fors and againts in term of Sundays Top Gear.

Who would have guessed it would have got quite so emotive!

I wish I had time to discuss this but I have to rush off and put on my camo gear, tear off into the countryside, knock over any TRO signs I see, drive through a couple of hedges and murder any members of the public I encounter

So much land to destroy,
So little time.

I enjoyed it!

Whilst I accept some people will be mislead by their use of the term 'green laning', I'd think the majority of viewers wouldn't give a monkeys!

But then you can't keep everyone happy! For example....some people could say that Wrecker's avatar was offensive. Afterall it portrays someone kicking a baby......I took it for what it was, a bit of fun & a cracking avatar.....but does everyone?? (No offence Wrecker, yours was just a convenient avatar! Which is, by the way, very entertaining!)

I'd wonder if that Top Gear arcticle has actually done us any harm at all! Afterall.....I'm already a murderer, an eco-terrorist etc etc just for owning a 4x4!

I hope you guys keep your green lanes! There aren't many here!!!  :'(

having read the thread before seeing it I was expecting the worse, however I think that it was not that bad. It was tongue in cheek and took the mickey out of off roaders (Camo gear murderers) as much as rambelers. It did not go into specific s of green laning and rights of way issues and was clearley filed in fields and not lanes.

I agree that it will upset some antis, but showing a tree bing copped down does too, showing grass begin driven on drives people nuts, but these are city based numpties who see the countryside as some quait extension of regents part that they can visit on bank holidays.

I think the peice a few years ago where clarkson drove the Dico up the mountain that was only for walking on was for more damaging and drew huge numers of complaints.

I will not be pettitioning, but understand the feelings of those of you who do.
