« on: July 22, 2008, 21:55:27 »
New to defenders from discoverys.

have bought an old 90 with a petrol engine in, i want to transplant my disco 200tdi into it, does anybody know if it will drop in the mount or if i will need to change them?

also i would like to keep the defender gearbox, what do i need to mount a disco 200 to a defender box?

hi there Stewy! You should use the Defender Engine mounts! When i done mine i removed the Disco Flywheel Casing and fitted the one from the old defender engine so that all the bolts lined up!
Dont forget to Replace the Rear Crank O Ring Oils eal
You will need to Replace the Whole Exhaust system as well as yours  is too Narrow!
I bought an Exhaust Manifold Replacement Down Pipe off Ebay so that overcomes that Problem
And i Fitted a Disco 200 Tdi Rad with a Td5 Intercooler in front of it
Now pulls like a train and has the Economy Too!
