Chassis no.? Scrap value?
« on: July 24, 2008, 08:28:47 »
Morning chaps,

I am taking a 1981 2-door Rangie to the scrappies today. I was not given a V5 when I was given the car. [-X [-X

Where will I find the chassis number if there's no VIN plate under the bonnet? Do I need the V5 to give to the scrappies? or do I just notify DVLA that it;s gone to the BIG Car Park?  [-o<

Cheers

That was probably fair if it was a complete car - bear in mind they have to strip the tyres, hoses, etc from it and dispose of any fluids, so the price they pay you will take account of that.

Well, considering they took it without a V5, he can consider himself lucky with 250.

Yeah very lucky, we should report the scrappy to the Police for that, otherwise pikeys will be towing all our motors down to the scrappy for £250.
