Someone must know the answer.
« on: July 25, 2008, 11:50:44 »
A while back the battery light came on on my 3.5v8 Disco, since then it has stayed on. I was quite expecting to come out one day to a flat battery
but several weeks down the line, the battery is fine.

I have ckecked and the alternator is putting out the correct voltage, Someone suggested a new regulator pack, which I have fitted, but it has made no difference and still the red light is on all the time.

My question. What else could it be, possibley a diode pack, are these available as replacements or is a new alternator my only escape.

Yes the battery is being charged and my alternator tester is showing the correct voltage going in.
