I've got a mains inverter - what do I do with it?
« on: February 19, 2005, 21:42:11 »
I picked up a mains inverter from Maplin the other day.  Ã‚£20 for a 150W one; I use it for my laptop once in a while.

Most of the time though, it goes unused.  So I'm wondering what else I can do to get my moneys worth from it.

I asked another internet site about this a while ago, their suggestions included:

A popcorn maker
A lava lamp
Scalextrix
Millions of xmas tree lights
Neon signs on both sides of the car saying "Let's get FUNKY"
A rotating Floella Benjamin

I'm currently tempted to go with the popcorn maker.  I mean, what could be better in the middle of a greenlaning trip?

Any other suggestions?

You could use a full blown PC in there
A telly
Buy a 1000 W one and have a microwave oven for your pies
Playstation and a LCD screen

a brevel sandwich toaster.
Don`t blindly follow where others lead, go you own way, and leave a trail. which, being in a Land Rover, will be of oil.

Very handy for those small rechargeable items, that you forget to charge up at home, mobiles, gameboys etc
