Beach Ranger Land Rover stuck on beach

Spotted this on Southportgb.com:

Such is the sad state of Southport beach even a brand new Land Rover used by the Sefton Council beach rangers became stuck.
With the approaching high tide frantic attempts to did out the 08 plate Land Rover were made.
The Land Rover was eventually pulled clear of the tide later in the afternoon by a tractor.

 :lol: :lol: :lol: thats the rangers LR   :lol: that looks like the bit near the coast road at Ainsdale just past Pontins.

They often drive right along the beach where the public cars are not allowed, looks like one got carried away  :lol:

If it were axle deep then I would agree with the term stuck but a bit of training may be needed

Its hardly axle deep... You can see light from under the back axle.

The bloke in the other defender could have pulled it out out surely. One good hard tug and it would have poped out.

Praps 2 x high lift jacks should be on order!

i agree with mark, you can clearly see that the side walls of the tyres are only in the sand, perhaps some one needs to learn what low ratio is! ;)

The cynic in me says that was a publicity stunt to scare off the public from driving on the beach, along the lines of if a pro can get stuck in a landy then mere mortals don't stand a chance.
 
Either that or the driver had all the ability behind the wheel of a sheep.

I go there quite often to walk the dog as its only 15 minutes away, one time about 18 months ago I had to borrow a tow rope from the wardens to help pull out a vectra and a horse box on the sands, they refused to help for some reason. :?

There was a vacancy for a Beach Ranger job advertised in the local paper a couple of months ago.
4wd experience was only a 'desirable' requirement, not an 'essential' requirement.  :roll:
