Need advice guys re LPG

Due to the cost of Diesel I have been looking at going onto an LPG Disco. I have had the offer on a 99 T reg V8 Disco Gs Model. It has already had LPG installed and has it's certificate. What do you all think about my mpg on this vehicle?

I know LPG is only about 50p ish a litre and I go through about 50 liters a week with the diesel and it costs me a fortune and I am lucky as my 300 tdi gives me about 32 to the gallon. So any help/suggestions would be very helpfull in making this decision ;)

My Disco II does between 2.5 and 3 miles per litre on gas. Never checked it on petrol, costs too much.

That works out between 11 and 14miles to the gallon, or 21p to 17p per mile in fuel alone.  (Round figures @51.9 ppl)

Derv works out about the same in fuel costs per mile.

If saving money is your prime concern, then Veg Oil may be the way to go, there are many discussions on this in the alternative fuels section.

However, if you love the sound of a V8..... :dance: :P
