TD5 Alive - again
« on: August 12, 2008, 09:35:59 »
I'm back to considering having the stage 1 tune done again. I've found plenty of rave reviews but they tend to be on sites advertising the service so it's not a great surprise to find rave reviews there.

But at over £450 what I would really like to hear is from people on here that have had it done and what their experience has been. Especially if it has improved towing a caravan and or MPG.

Thanks
Mike

we have tried many tunes for our td5 psibox, allisport, TD5 alive and we are currently using a rovercom one....it is the best we have had! no flat sports and a nice increace i power. the allisport chip and the TD5 alive tune we have is for sale if you are interested.

As in you're selling the ECU? How was it tuned - did you post it to TD5 alive or take the vehicle to him? I gather the post tune option just gives you a generic map which can leave gaps. Taking it to him he tunes it for the vehicle.

we origionally bought a generic map but there were problems with the revs not dropping in gear changes, so my dad went to him to get a custom tune. and yes it is a new ecu.
