none lightweight roofs over time pull the sides of rear tub out a bit so urs maybe was a nice n straight so wud stick out that much!

all wheel trim done the canvas work for me, cant remember the cost but would say about £300-£400 with the frame kit and rear cover etc. tyres were 33/12.5 and had no issues with them on or off road..

the roof is a Bikini cab, a cross between a bikini and truckcab roof (had a roll up back) also the rear load space cover fitted into it with press studs..
cheers

I would love to mod this lightweight, but at the same time i think it would be a waste of a very good straight solid truck. Original looking Lightweight's are a bit thin on the ground these days, so with a set of wheels, a hood, and lose the wheel arch trim/spots,  she would be a very tidy looking ex MOD LW.
You know the score, if i put a big set of off road rims and rubber on her it wont stop there.
Then the next minute you have a tricked up truck that looks a million miles from the original.
I just think it's a waste.
I think what i'll do, is advertise her, and see what happens. If she sells, then so be it. If not, i'll mod her to the max.
But at least i'll have peace of mind knowing that i gave her a fair chance of staying original.

Im a soppy git ain't i

It just so happens that i can get my sticky mitts on a V-8 motor and box ect  :D It's just having the time to do it.
Im off to a land rover auto jumble tomorrow (the 20th) with a pocket full of cash.
My plan is this.....
Im going to look around for a set of standard landie rims and tyre's, and a set of big tyre's and rims. So what ever comes first will decide the fate of the lightweight.
If i come across a set of stock rims, then i will go with keeping the lw as original as i can, ie hood ect.
But if i come across a set of big tyre's then i'll mod the old bus to the max.
It's all down to fate

It's only a small jumble, so chances are i will find the stock rims first.
It's in Hullavinton, are you going pux? Not to far from you.
