what probs do td5s have with water other then the ecu ???
im thinking TD5 or 2.8TGV

Given a choice and money no object, I would go with the 2.8 TGV and an auto box..............
TD5's are just as good in the water as any landy, yes the ECU is prone, and when you start to break things they tend to be more expensive, but other than that its just snorkel, raised breathers and maintenance!

I used to have a 200tdi Defnder and I took that through everything. It had a well fitted snorkel. Now Ive got a Td5 Disco, and Im petrified of killing all the electrics. The ECU is under the passenger seat isnt it?? Or is it near the fuse box and battery tray??
