Video cameramen (or women) wanted !

Cameramen (and women) wanted  !!

The De-cider trophy is an off-road challenge event staged over the weekend of 26th / 27th September 2008.  With teams from all over the UK in attendance, it is set to be a weekend of top off-road competition and some very entertaining action.

The event, run by Challenge South West, is held at two sites in near Wellington and Huntsham in the South West of England and runs over 2 days, including night stages and overnight camping.

As part of the event, CSW and the main event sponsor Devon 4x4 are hoping to make a short video covering the action and excitement of the weekend and are looking for volunteer cameramen (and women) who would like the opportunity to be involved.

The final video will be distributed on DVD with profits being donated to charity.

We are looking for people with video cameras capable of recording in high quality digital video formats, either to digital tape, memory stick or disc who would be willing to give up their time and test their camera skills at this event.

Recording media will be provided by the organisers, as will hi-vis clothing if needed.  You will have full access to both sites and if you want to enter the real spirit of the event, camping space will be available as well.

No previous experience is required, just a suitable camera, a bit of spare time and a willingness to get stuck in !

If you are interested in being part of this project, please send me an email or a pm with the following information :

Your name & address
Contact email
Make / Model of your camera
Which day(s) you would like to attend the event
If you would like to camp overnight

Further details of the event can be found at the Devon 4x4 website here :  The De-cider trophy

Same here.  Have just purchased an HD camera (Panasonic HDC-SD9) so would have liked to put it through it's paces.

Unfortunately we are already booked that weekend  :(

Always the way.   The event is an annual thing anyway, so assuming the video gets off the ground, then we'll be doing it again next time !
