if they've got tired old springs on, yes

replace them with red/white heavy duty springs

How long is a piece of sting?

As jobs go its fairly straight forward, though amoungst other issues, it can be a good (ie ) intorduction to dealing with corroded on nuts.

rear springs are dead easy, the fronts are a bit more involved, but as jobs go they're not too bad

start soaking all the nuts n bolts in wd40 about a week before and do it daily, should hopefully reduce required effort / risk of shearing bolts when you do the job.

agreed! made the mistake of diving straight into my first range rover when i got back from canada. everything was there and wanted it done!

bought a set of spring compressors from halfrauds (just round the corner  )

after grazing every knuckle chipping my tooth and splitting my bottom lip (should of had stitches apparently :-# )

i sheared most of the bolts etc but still did it in a day!
