1 ton shocks
« on: September 04, 2008, 23:29:29 »
hi, could anybody tell me if the shocks off a 1 ton landy will fit on a s3 109 safari, i allready have the extended shackles but the standard shocks are too short so my reasoning is that the 1 ton must have longer shocks, i could buy procomps but they are £30 plus vat each but paddocks do the 1 ton shocks at £12 plus vat each so rather than just buy them and maybe waste the cash if they dont fit i think it is better to ask and get a clear and concise answer, so if any body could throw some light on my dilema then i would be most grateful, thanks.

dude the chassis on a 109 one tonne series 3 had longer spring  hangers and from memory the shock mounts are in different position to the ones on a standard 109  to allow the fitment of 900/16s if you can find a militry or 1 tonne mesure it and see i may well be wrong
series land rovers dont leak they just mark their terratory

1972 s3 2/14 diesel hard top
235/85 R16 chaco mud terrains
para springs
Mill services sill bars
and currently off road (sorn)
still to come

spare wheel carrier
south down snorkel
