Suspended camp fire/BBQ????????????
« on: September 23, 2008, 19:31:49 »
Hello Guys & Gals,

I visited the LRO show the other weekend in Peterborough and while I was mooching around the showground I noticed a few people had camp fires on a tripod contraption.

They had a three legged structure with a set of chains hanging from the top,
on the chains was a large pan/plate, the plate is where the fire burns,
above the plate is also a suspened grill, the grill can be lifted or lowered so you can cook food on the grill.

I WANT ONE!

It seems a good way of having a camp fire without scorching the ground,

Does anyone know what they are called (searched on Ebay)
Does anyone know where I can get one?

Cheers.......................

Not much help really, but they are very common in Germany mate  :)   Perhaps try EBay.de

Probably quite easy to make too  :-k

I made this out of a Gas cylinder. Very effective can be fire or BBQ.
