:dance:My disco 2 keeps running out of fuel!!! the needle still says theres fuel in the tank but Twice its run out on Small inclines waiting at lights Both times is been the wife by herself (so all my fault) but I have had to nip out of work to sort it !!!!
now then I know what people might say do not go under quarter full I have mentioned this to the wife It could have fell on def ears !!!!so has anybody had the same problem as me all the best Kurt Bushcables

I dont see why this would happen. the fuel pump is inside the tank and draws the fuel through a mesh filter that is literaly a couple of ml above the floor of the tank. I frequently drive it right the way down to the empy mark with no problems.i would start by checking the acuracy of the gauge by putting in a known amount of fuel

I think thats what bushcables is gtting at, his gauge is faulty.

Has your Disco ever had a new fuel pump?? Just wondering if someone has fitted a Defender pump instead of a Disco one.

Check that the pump/sender unit is located in the tank properly. When I had problems with mine, I took the pump out and it was sat at an angle in the tank. Refitting it correctly also meant that the fuel gauge worked
