hi i have a 2.5td the wipers only have 2 speeds fast and faster is this normal? you would think they would have intermitant

There's no intermitant on mine.  Just slow, and slighty quicker

If you belt the stalk downwards, you'll get the intermitent wipe.




The time between wipes depends on how often you belt the stalk downwards!
I think it's called audience parcipitation. :roll:

Was it doing something before you 'belted' it?  :lol: The downwards operation is for single wipe. Intermittent wipe wasn't used on 90's and 110's. Might be on later Defenders, but I'm not sure.

i have ordered a new park switch the old one was well caroded i will let you know what happens next.

All of the controls to the right of my steering colum- wipers, washer and fog light have packed up, does anyone have any ideas why?

2007 ford ranger wildtrack d/cab(dads)
yamaha big bear 350 2wd, likes to eat flies, fixed (until i roll it again)

Hi

I have recently lost 'park' and intermittent from my Td5's wipers, am I right in thinking the relay would be to blame? Would changing this be the first thing to do?

Poss the motor itself as it has a mechanism in it for knowing when the wipers are at the bottom, if this fails then it thinks they are at the bottom, in which case they will not move at all or it thinks that they are not at the bottom in which case they will go on forever!
