I now know what a V8 sounds like when it's lost oil pressure and the crank bearings go....   :cry:

Good News
Between them SWMBO & Solihull Mick have found a replacement Disco (with 4 fewer pistons than there should be right enough... but let's not get picky!) that I'm off to pick up in the morning. I even end up with a winch & winch bumper where there wasn't one before...! Woohoo!   :thumbup:

Quick update, thanks to Solihull Mick & his crew it's had the VERY dodgy transfer box changed along with a darn good service (how many times did we fill the Tx box/diff Mick?!   ;) :lol: :lol: ).

Going to fit the suspension and various other bits from the old one on Saturday and I'll be set.

Got some pics to post when I get a chance so I'll do another update soon.

It looks like a 300 Tdi with a 200 Tdi diff assembly with 10 spine defender half shafts on 300 Tdi hubs! Been doing my homework Mick!   :police:

Ouch! You offering!!     

Had help with the half shafts but I spotted the 200 Tdi diff assembly because mine on my 300 Tdi ripped itself apart while towing a horse home. £22 later, fixed and fitted! That's part and parcel of owning a landy isn't it? Fixing or getting it fixed it all the time?!  :police:

Thank you for the steering guard Skibum, hopefully I won't be breaking any more sterring arms now!  :angel:
