Just remember when we had the FIRST fuel blockades - they were complaining about paying 82pence per litre
raise the price artificially - then bring it down slightly -instant brownie points for 'reducing' and already overinflated price  :police:

You make me feel old! :) When I passed my test it was still priced in gallons.....£1.99 a gallon anyone? I also remember thinking that fuel was expensive when 4* hit £2.10 a gallon.

The local BP to my work in Coventry has got petrol for 99.9 as well, which is fantastic for a premium brand.

Might be something to do with Morrisons over the road having it for 99p and Asda also having it up at 99p!

I can remember my brother saying that when petrol hit £1 a gallon he'd sell his car - well he's still driving now
I started driving and it was about 50p a litre IIRC. now got the Paj and its 113.9 , so very gentle use of the right foot is called for..Mind you after 8mpg for our last petol powered V8 rangie - I think mid 20's isnt too bad.
One of my friends has a moped that takes £10 to fill...i can remember filling my C70 up with £1.50 lol

No, they up the price when a barrel of oil costs more than double what it costs now and the pound is stong against the dollar!

I heard on the radio morrisons has now come down to 97.9p a litre.

Fat chance I will get petrol below a £1 any time soon as Daventry the thieving gits like to always be at least 5p more than anywhere else in the country as we dont have a supermarket selling petrol in the town and driving to a supermarket station to fill up is too far away to gain a saving still.  :'(

We're like that as well, the nearest supermarket is 15 miles away, so its only worth it when we're in town for a few reasons.

Its just dropped to 99.9 at our local sainsburys, we seem to be a bit behind everyone for price drops round here, yet the conning young men at BP are still more than everywhere else by a good few pence on petrol and about 5p up on diesel!

I seem to be getting around 25 to the gallon from the shogun which seems good so mustn't grumble too much, but i'd like it to get cheaper still, might offset things like bread and eggs going up so much!
