Interesting Job...!
« on: October 16, 2008, 22:30:09 »
I've been looking for a new job as the current contract finishes at the end of November. This morning I applied for a training manager position in Northampton. Lunchtime, the recruitment agency called me up for a telephone interview prior to putting my name forward.

It was the usual thing and once the recruiter was satisfied I had good coverage of the necessary skills he told me a little about the job. Here are the main points:
  • Northampton
  • Engine design & manufacturing :-k
  • High power engines :-.
  • Mercedes high power engines :)
  • Mercedes high power F1 engines! :D [-o<

Yup.....! That's right... the ones they put into the Mclarens!

Wooohooo!

Even if all I get is an interview... it'll be interesting... if I get th job... there will be no living with me!  8-[

Hmmmm.....   :-k :-k  Wonder how the engine mounts would need to be modified for one o' them thar spare engines to go in my dico...?

 Good Luck.
Would be less relable and a little more expensive to run than that V8 mate, but certainly would be fun for 400miles or those engines are design to run for.

Good luck Frank

Best not to mention it to my missus as she reckons speed trumps mud anyday and may not speak to you for some time...

All the very best

Rob

PS... you might want to extend the scope of her training session... you know, so that you can cover the dangers of getting high heels caught in the carpet when trying to exit a waterlogged car... is the air vent in a Discovery good enough to dry nail varnish... all that sort of stuff!
