Shock Dead..
« on: October 20, 2008, 14:47:45 »
Hi

Looks like my rear OS shock gave up at whaddon yesterday...

Its dumped all its oil, and is sagging badly now.

Im thinking of replacing the whole lot with terrafirma?

its all about 6 years old, the current springs are all rusty, and the shocks powder coating is starting to peal.

Any advice?

OME are really good, but tend to be at the "upper end of the market"

ProComp are at the "budget end" of the market. They offer a 'lifetime guarantee' - but that doesn't help if they break far from home!

If you want decent quality and reasonable price, check out Llama 4x4 - he's importing 'Rough Country' shocks from the US (incl +5" ones) and they're really good value (imho)
