Or left, or let his membership lapse.

TBH, I'm beginning to get sick of how bitchy this club has become myself.

Just my opinion I hasten to add, nothing more

right then.

back on topic ...

I have heard that a few people have used a tax disc holder as a finisher around the side exit exhaust ..

Two questions .

1 , Has anyone used a steel one and did it react with the ali causing white fur .

2 , Is the hole in the disc holder the same size as the origional pipe or do I need to reduce the pipe size to get it through.

lee, oxidisation will always occour when you mate up alli with steel. i am using the D44 stainless ring for the finisher with silicone behind it to try to provent it a little but there isnt really a way of stopping it, it will eventually get through.

Hi,
Im using an old scorpion racing trim piece mounted on chequer plate, will try and post a pic later tonight. Used a bit of tiger seal  and then bolted it through.

1,for me nothing has happend mate,no loss of silver or shine

2,what i done was use flexi pipe to make the bend where i wanted it and then sleeve a bit of old zorst pipe into flexi so that sticks out the side and looks like a proper pipe, then used heat mastic to cover hole and then chrome ring over the end with no hole showing, but can still move when on tick over and when it gets hot.so no noise and rattel

mine is like this and so are a few mates who at present have had no probs, mines been on for 6 months and off road almost every wk-end.

i hope this makes sense  :D

Cheers Guys...

I'm thinking of turning up a bit of Ali at work to look something like this (excuse the dodgy paint box drawing)

Basically it will be a one piece trim and pipe mounted through the body , bolted from the inside then a flexi pipe attached to the flange on the inside of the trim.
With a jubilee clamp (or similar)  Might even get it anodised a nice colour

What do you think ???     Will it work ???  What colour ???   purple , Black , red , gold , grey , blue ,

The rear body where the pipe will exit will be covered with brushed stainless before the ring is put in place to tidy the lower body up and match the spats I've put in front of the rear wheels...

And I have a full set of rumblers at work to mirror polish them while I sleep

Well do you remember this idea ????? :D

Well I turned up a bit of scrap billet at work then Drilled the holes and polished it up last night at home ...

I had to change the design a little as I didn't have a long enough tap to thread the holes from the inside so I drilled them right through and counter drilled them to fit the allen bolts flush. I also added the brushed stainless to tidy the rear quarter up ..

What do you think ??? I'm well chuffed with it

the bottom of the wing was mulered thats the only reason I put the stainless sheet over it I the wing had been ok I wouldn't have bothered it's held on with the trim bolts and a pop rivit under the arch trim.
