help with paint
« on: October 25, 2008, 16:26:18 »
hi all, i need some help with identifying the colour of my disco. i have found plenty of sites with the full paintlist but they do not have the colour charts to match.
does anyone know what it is? and does anyone know where i can get this paint from pretty damn sharpish? the black spots on it have to be gone by Wednesday!
anyone have any suggestions on an alternative paint scheme like IN YOUR FACE GREEN!? but would be a shame because i like the green it is :-k

take a panel with you to H.R.G on the hardwick in kings lynn they will match it for you and give you the code if it helps
they can mix it there and then they are good my brothers a sprayer and has used them for years

there is no colour on the vinplate! i dont think.
i know for sure the number is on there but colour wise i think its blank!

eugene; what sort of sized pannel would they need? as i am typing i can feel a piece of 2"sqr body pannel diging into my leg would that be big enough or would i haveto supply a larger sample? do you know anything on a price?

I think it looks like a Loyal Dukes old Disco, not a common colour apparently :?  Can't recall what it is but I have the remains of the car somewhere.

most magic eye machines need a bit about the size of your thumb nail .

if they use a flip chart it has a colour chip about 1" by 2" with a 5 mm hole in the middle they just lay the chip set over a panel and the one you can't see the hole in is the match most sets are about A4 size  :D

boston geen maby? looking on the charts bronze green sounded about right.....but then again i know nothing and colours names may not reflect the colour its self. hunting pink is a good example of that
i will look about.

Boss,
Take your VIN number to your main stealer parts desk, they can lookup the colour and code for the paint on the parts computer system.  Worked for me!
