Anyone recommend a CB aerial and where to mount it on a disco.

One of these mounted on one of these on the rear gutter next to the back door.

Thanks Chris,  I've found an old CB, thought it might be handy in the disco, but i know nothing about them.

I ripped my gutter mount off on Sunday ona rather low branch, think it was just a poor quality eBay special gutter mount!

I mounted mine of a mount that I made on the spare wheel carrier on the rear door......between door and wheel. Ariel is tall enough to reach above the roof.

Yes I know, not very good for ground plain, but it hasn't proved to be a problem and it is tucked away and well protected.

I had a 7in mag mount with a full size springer/stinger aerial on the roof, the SWR was great and despite being dragged through more trees than I can remember it never came off or broke. I've now switched to a body mount on the back door which works ok, SWR isn't as good but it still gets me heard. The main reason for changing was to avoid the cable coming out of one door and going over the roof, however in terms of pure performance it was worth putting up with that!

I have mine on a mag mount on the front winch bumper. does ok for me  :)
