Taken from another forum, written by the man himself.

I'm sure members on here who know Andi, like me will want to wish him the very best of luck for the future.

Well...........

As most of you know I’ve been fighting cancer for the past 2 and half years and at the beginning of this year I had a bone marrow transplant. The Docs were very hopeful that the transplant had worked as was I. Well over the past few months I’ve been having test to which I wasn’t expecting to get the results back till next week....Tuesday I got a phone call from the hospital asking me to go up there and see my doctor. I’m afraid to say he had bad news for me...the cancer in my chest has come back and they now think I have another tumour in my neck which the doc can feel. :( .

So to confirm this they wanted to operate on me ASAP to take a biopsy of the lump so they did no more and booked me in there and then of 7:30am the next morning. I had the opp and I had a few breathing problems but I came out ok. Well that was Wednesday and I came out last night so I didn’t have to stay in over night :) .

They told me they would have the results in two weeks but my doc rang me today and told me he will be fast tracking them. If it is more cancer then it looks like ill be starting chemo again but at the moment I’m not sure what or how much chemo I will need.

I wanted to tell you all as a lot of you have been very supportive on here to which I'm very grateful for and this site has kept me going as well. Ill keep you updated as much as I can but as I'm sure you can guess things in my life are going to go a little mad soon.

He is actually a member of Mud-Club, I just copied his posting from another forum to add here.

The last time he was in hospital we helped to rebuild his series motor for him a bit like 'Overhaulin'.

Hello all, thanks frank for posting this just knowing people have good wishes for me helps more than people know.

And yes my series 2a was rebuilt for me by my family, friends, the local paper and of course some very kind amazing mud-clubbers to which i was and am very greatfull for.

Ive managed to get out and use my truck in the mud twice. Once at a local off road track and once with Northants4x4.com . I was hoping to take it to tixover at the end of the month but looks like ill have started treatment again by then so ill be putting it on hold for now.

Here is a pic of me driving my truck for the first time after it was rebuilt.

Good luck mate, think of Lance Armstrong. He beat cancer then won rather a lot of cycling trophies!

Good luck to you. I will be thinking of you and your family. My dad was cleared last year, but has now started chemo again, so as he says, don't let it get you down or beat you.

Well thank you all post your posts...its helps...

I got the results back yesterday and they have confirmed that it is in fact cancer in my neck...so tomorrow ill be up the hospital having test as well as Thursday...Friday ill be going in to hospital to have a line put into my heart so the can give my the drugs straight into my heart...ill then be having the weekend to recover from that and on Monday ill be starting chemo again...as it stand i don’t know what chemo as my doctors have never tried this before but heres hoping...

Ill be having 2 rounds of this chemo and then start test again...if they come back that the chemo is kill the cancer then we will look at having another bone marrow transplant...if it comes back that the chemo isn’t working then........its on to plan Z not sure what this is yet but im sure there will be one.
