lift my vitara

Hi, im hopefully getting a l reg vitara in the next few weeks and im looking to put a 2" spring lift on it. can any one give me a list of all the things i will need to get to fit a 2" lift properly with out cutting any corners?

also has any one got a pic of there vitara with a 2" lift or any size lifty just so i can get  idea of what i want.

Hi there cant answer your question directly but, try googleing "damonf/project SE416". It is a very comprehensive guide on how to mod a vitara

Hi mate.
This is my truck with:
LWB Grand Vitara springs.
Bits4vits spring spacers on the rear.
Bits4Vits strut spacers on the front.
Astra Mk2 Shocks on the rear.
Vttr 1" Diff drop brackets on front to alleviate some strain on cv's (weak point!!)
2" box section bodylift.
29" Macho tyres.

astra mk 2 rear socks are they fom the front or rear of the astra and is that saloon or estate

did you have any problems with the body life?
where did your bumpers from?

Cheers for the compliment  :oops: ;)

With regards to the bodylift. You will need to extend and slightly straighten the gear & transferbox levers or they catch the body.
You also need to loosen the bolts on the steering shaft (like big grubscrew thingys) to allow them to slide open a bit.
Undo the brake pipe union from off the inner drvers side wing then refix it after the lift.
Also the petrol filler pipe may need extending but does have a bit of slide also.
Extended brakelines will probably be required too.

I will soon be stripping this truck down as i have got another with a better shell. All the bits will be transfered across. The only thing i might change is the box section. I will probably use 4x2" box as this will have a larger footprint for the body to rest on.

The bumpers were from Ebay. LA Supertrux custom built them for a customer who paid for them but never collected them. So they put them on the bay and i got a one off bargain  :dance: :dance: :lol:
