oil leak at the spheres

mt friend has got a 1995 disco and theres and oil leak at the n/s sphere on the front axle how can he stop the oil leaking ??

sounds like you need to change the swivel oil seal. Not a particularly taxing job, involves taking off the
hub.. some if the bolts can be a right  :-# where the swivel ball connects to the axle, And the part itself
is less than £5.

Yep, simple enough job.

remove wheel, caliper and steering rod then undo the whole hub! remove it complete with the axle shaft! and stick it in a bucket. That gives you access to a metal ring that goes round the hub and covers the seal. Remove the ring and then the seal, the new one will fit over the crome ball. refit!

check the swivel bearings at the same time as sometimes when they are worn the symptom is a leaking seal too.

You can do what the army commonly do and split the seal.
