its going to be wide  probably going to get wheels with little or a negative offset, so its not going to get too much wider and itll protect the portal boxes. then again nothing is set in stone.

thats the problem with mogs
iv got very little offset with my rims on the volvos and iv managed to keep it as near to landy width  :D

a mate has mog axles on a custom build , the axles where cut down and custom shafts made up
gets the width back down but is mega bucks

yes, and if a shaft brakes hes in trouble.

big with isnt always a bad thing, it spreads the weight a little more. but i wont be able to fit anywhere :(
nevermind ill drive over it

they would work yes, but i need stronger wheels than that, with beadlocks. and the mog has 6 studs with a different pcd......may be sorting that out soon though.

either going to go to stazworks or somewhere like BTF, mach5 have a website? i know there is such a thing as a mach6....but the only ones i have seen are 20" and look gay.

the extra width will make it less likely to roll too  :D
when i put the 10x15 rims with my boggers on the disco axles i had the prob with not fitting anywhere
even blew tyres off the rims trying to fit down a track that any normal landy fits down  bead locks did sort this tho

not got tyres yet. need to sort things out first...like brakes and pinion conversions.....actually getting the axles under the truck.
rear shouldnt be to difficult as im using the stock landrover set up(but not with the stock arms )
might get A tyre and A wheel from my prefered stockist just so i can get an idea on size.

oh and got whats left of the drum brakes off today. lots of mayonaise on the rear so better breathers are definatly needed! no pics(unless you want camera phone pics :->) given it a going over with a wire brush too. tomororw there will be pics of a hopefully 100% clean axle.

i would get what tyres u are goin to use , so u can build around them

will give u the hight from axle to floor then from that u can work out the hight the body will sit at , are u going coilover or landy setup ?

dont get me started

pressure washer wasnt working so could only get it as clean as the wire brush would let me with out scratching stuff too much.

hammer wins all. but axle beats me as weight to strength ratio isnt in my favor. there fore it is not in line. but this matters not as there is no welding being done at the moment! :D

will get round to that eventually

rear is ugly as sin though. thinking of going 4 wheel steer just to get the rear one looking sort of presentable. but thats lots o work and i cant ne be arsed!

rear bumper is a concoction of D44 parts and lots of trial and errors, can make one for you if you want one on the back of your series.

not sure what this dakar style is but pick ups work well. but there more of an offroad thing as the tank normally resides in the truck bed makeing it usless for anything else. but you could probbily do it to yours in a weekend if you get a shuffle on. all you would need is a length of box and some steel sheet.....pm sent.

hi mate, i dont think they will.  the toyotas have a tighter stud pattern IIRC. seriously considering geting the hubs machined so i can have  landrover wheels fitted.

got a couple of not very relevant photos, my welder has packed up so debating what to do next.
need a new welder, if i get a TIG then the body will be sold and ill make a buggy type thing but migs are cheaper and alot cheaper to run!
also chasing people up about prices. you say you want something, they say they got it but they no want to give you the price  what the bloody hell is up with that! what with the economy the way it is i would have thought that businesses would be trying to give me stuff!
BUT 4 way steer is definatly a possibility.....never intended to go 4 steer but i dont like the......things on the rear axles........mog stuff is the same front and rear, so if i got some steering knuckles and some shafts then its a bolt on job. but the "bits" that take the place of the knuckle on the rear axle are ugly and make it look a bit of an abortion, im not to bothered on how it looks but that does bother me
