Document question?
« on: November 20, 2008, 08:20:32 »
OK so me being brain dead, has managed somehow to lose my Logbook and MOT cert..(just brough tvehicle so its not even in my name) .. Now i need to tax it at the end of the month - my Question is - Can I apply for a Replacement MOT cert at ANY MOT station (ihva ethe sticker in the car) or does it have to be from the issuing station (in which case where can I find out the garages address from the code number)
Also , we have a DVLA office in Birmingham, could I go there and get BOTH documents replaced AND tax the vehicle at the same time? :-k
Cheers

Short term, TAX IT ON LINE!!

the system checks for the MOT and Insurance on line so you don't need to produce them!! All you need is the tax reminder as it has a code on it.

All good and fine if she has the disco in her name. If not the tax disk will go to the last owner!! I know!!

for the MOT you can goto ANY Testing Station and get a replacement. They will charge anything from £10 - £25 though.
I had to do it a while back for one of my car.

if you have to pay for a duplicate mot, you might as well get it re mot'd, and pay for that... at least you'll get a full year out of it...!!!
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!
