Peter Ingram - lostboy - RIP
« on: November 28, 2008, 12:28:39 »
It is with sadness that I have to make this post, Peter Ingram died on Tuesday Night due to complications with his MS. Many of you will know him as the Chief Marshall of the Scottish Hill Rally Club, through amateur radio or simply as a fellow 4x4 enthusiast.

The family intend to have a memorial service and this will most likely be in the Paisley area. More details to follow when they are finalised the details of which will be posted on www.sorc.org.uk.

Pete was a member since 2004 and will be a missed around all the 4x4 forums.

The racing community has lost an excellent chief marshall and stage commander.

More importantly, the community has lost a good man, who had good grace and a wry sense of humour. Simply put, he was excellent company.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. I still can't believe I'm not going hear see him at events again.

Thoughts go to his family and his many, many friends.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him but, as in any situation like this, my thoughts are with his family. I'm sure this will be echoed by all on here.

Lifted from www.sorc.org.uk

Update on Peter's Funeral - the family have decided to have a private family funeral.

However a few of Peter's friends are organising a wake on Saturday the 20th of December, Everyone is welcome to come, there will be a platform for people to talk about Peter and what he meant to them.

I will post more details on this, once the venue has been finalised.

I was really sorry to hear this too.  I worked with Peter setting up and taking down the Perthshire Scottish Hillrally a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed his company.

He will be sorely missed, we need more people like Pete who tirelessly give their spare time in helping out with events with good humour and a smile!

My thoughts and prayers with his family and friends.
