Batteries
« on: December 01, 2008, 20:51:08 »
Hiya

Whats a good model number battery for a 300tdi 90?

Its got two in it, one for starting, one for winch, lights, and camping when we go away.

Id like to keep two so that one can die whilst we are away if needs be with the fridge etc.

They are connected together via the biggest relay that I could find, which is triggered by a feed from the alternator.

They are a few years old now, and were very cheap. It struggles to start the 90 when its cold :(

Any recommendations?

Anyone here used these?

Yes and also the heavier duty version  - superb, better than anything else on the market, even at twice the price.

I have used the a humax battery from Tayna. It is just the flooded lead acid, but i have no complaints. The battery works well and the service from Tayna was brilliant.
