detailing a very scratched discovery
« on: December 04, 2008, 20:45:13 »
had this 300tdi discovery booked at work today in for full paint corection as it has some very heavy bush scratches down both sides of the body due to green laning. its prob one of the worst cars ive ever done but it came up realy well the owners jase and karren are happy so all is good!
this is known as a 50 50 and shows corrected and uncorrected paint side by side as you can see there is a massive difference!

this pic shows the rear quarter pannel before note the massive scratch at the top

this is after and 90% of the damage has polished out.

another 50/50 for you

after alot of hardcore polishing this is the end result looks a million times better like a new car!

the prosses of polishing out scatches like these is long and great care must be taken, i used a orbital polisher and a medium cut compound and worked the pannels one by one and sections at a time.any questions on how to do it in more detail just ask or if you make the tea ill come and do it for you

ohh big thanks to karren for the marmite on toast and cups of tea! :D

Cheers Marmite, you have done a fantastic job on the Disco.  We didnt think it looked too bad as it was until you started to polish it!!

Been out in it this avo and i got lots of looks.  It really does look like a brand new car!

Highly recommended if you want to turn your off roader back into a good looking car.  Well worth the money.

Many thanks
Jase and Karen

Very impressive. If I thought mine would stay nice I'd go the same route.

Might have a try on the worst bits myself, I cant make it look any worse :)

This strikes me as being a commercial advert, and as such I'm am locking this thread.

The Club has guidelines covering how commercial services can and can't be offered. It is recommended that a press-release is put together and placed in the 'press releases' forum.
