The ripsaw ms1 is an unmanned ground vehicle built by two brothers in maine. the tracked vehicle can go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds with an 80mph top speed. in its current form, it has a 2000 pound capacity, which opens the possibility for many different types of weapon systems. control is provided by two people: one driver and one gunner. they work in independent remote stations. the ripsaw could potentially be used in any application normally reserved for a tank. it could lead a charge without putting soldiers at risk.

Would have thought they would have added a bit more armourment, seems a bit of an overkill for a vehicle with a single machine gun.

Probably find that as with a lot of kit it's in a tight space engineering wise. By this I mean that if you upgraded the gun then you'd need to reduce fuel capacity to compensate for the extra weight and larger ammo locker, if you make the whole thing bigger then it needs more fuel, bigger engine, etc and now won't fit on a given transporter!

There's always room for more guns and sharks with fricken laser beams on their heads.

I am under impression it's a smallish outfit, without a military contract. They probably have not the resource to kit out with different combinations of military firepower.  There's a mock up image of it with one of those minigun which fire thousand of round per minute.

Only thing with that is it looks a bit too narrow and top heavy and at then end of the day with no driver in it it will just end up on its side in a ditch somewere and be a usless lump of metal. till you have to send the reme guys out to recover it and they wont be happy at doing that as there is no beer on it.

I can't see much use for it, when we are already using preditor UAV's with hellfire missles. they can go anywhere and over any terrain, while providing better surveillance capabilities.
