So so relieved!!!
« on: December 09, 2008, 09:12:01 »
Well as the title says I am extremely relieved this morning, basically some of you may know that I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident...well because of the extent of my injuries my doctor told me that I would have to inform DVLA as I had serious injuries and it was also a serious matter if I didn't tell them.

Well about a week ago I got a letter saying that my license is very likely to get revoked due to the extent of the injuries (right arm was shattered!) and they said that it all depends on the outcome of the doctor's report.

Well I haven't heard from them and it's been getting me down as it took me 4 years and 4 tests to get it so quite rightfully I was gutted on receiving that news...well I've just phoned them and the woman (Welsh, obviously but with a strangely sexy voice!) went through my details with me etc and then gave me the news I'd been waiting for...

"well you'll be pleased to know Mr.Brown that your driving license is safe and you'll have no special terms added to it"

I've been dreading it because I know how they can be with medical conditions and I must admit I was expecting the worst...but I am just so relieved now!

Looks you may be seeing me at a few greenlaning outings pretty soon (as soon as I find a reasonable insurer!!!)

Thanks lads the hardest bit is finding insurance now!

Been ringing round today to try and get insurance...NFU won't even offer me a quote, Adrian Flux declined to give me a quote because of my age (from the supposed young driver specialists!) the only one I can find is my old insurer who offered me insurance for £1,800 TPFT
